With over 30 years of experience in the field of education I have had the pleasure of teaching Pre-K through graduate students, in general, and special education settings, in the U.S. and abroad.
In service, I have been a member of public and private school boards, I have been on research review committees, and I was the research coordinator at Oregon Health and Sciences University Child Development and Rehabilitation Center for a study about Autism Assessment. I am also a member of national education organizations.
The highlight of my career has been the privilege of working with students of every ability level. I have learned the true meaning of perseverance from students that struggle with learning.

In addition to taking leadership roles in my past positions, I served as the Primary Years Program Coordinator for the International Baccalaureate Program while working overseas.
I was granted approval and funding to operate the first Special Purpose Private School in a hospital setting in the state of Maine.
The school in Maine serves as a research center and continues to be a model of success for assisting students with developmental disorders and intensive behavioral challenges to reintegrate to their community schools.
I have served as an expert witness at Federal Special Education Due Process hearings, written expert reports using evidence, research, and best practices, and consulted and reported on civil trials involving student injury.
I have delivered professional development opportunities for school districts and developed a state-wide training program for autism assessments in Oregon.
I have published educational research, and presented at a peer reviewed conference of educators in higher education.
